Girlzone 2008:

a year of events you won't want to miss

Girlzone looked a little different in 2008, but it’s been a great year so far, with something on offer for everyone (provided you’re female!). Between February and July there were four evening events, hosted by different members of the Girlzone team and focussing on a different topic or theme. At most evenings there was worship and ministry, plus the all-important chance to hang out with one another. We also had a clothes-swap social. Click on the links to the right to find out what went on. Our day conference, More, was at the beginning of November and was a great time of inspiring talks, worship and hanging out. Click here to let us know what you thought.     Girlzone is part of the women’s ministry at St Mary’s Church, London. Through events like evening meetings, day conferences and socials, Girlzone aims to encourage and inspire Christian women by creating space for worship, teaching and ministry; enabling us to learn more about him and ourselves as we seek God’s heart and really soak in his presence.   So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. Colossians 2:6-7   Don't be content with the mediocre! Don't settle for anything less than your full God-given potential! Be ambitious and adventurous for God! God has made you a unique person by your genetic endowment, upbringing and education. He has himself created and gifted you, and he does not want his work to be wasted. He means you to be fulfilled, not frustrated. His purpose is that everything you have and are should be stretched in his service and in the service of others.
