Golf Society
Can you ever feel so close to God, and then so far away all in the space of 4 hours? No.
 We all know that heavenly feeling of floating a wedge to within 4 feet, or drilling that 5 iron up the hill that rolls agonisingly just a few inches long. Let’s admit it though, we also know that verbal tirade we all unleash when with 80 yards of inviting fairway to hit we lash it out of bounds to the right.
On this page you can sign up to become a fully validated member of the St Mary’s (Hombre) Golf Society. I (Andy 'Tiger' McConkey) will be arranging various society days where we can all have a bacon sandwich and a round at some courses in the 'as central as possible' London vicinity. Depending on interest, I’d also like to get people in touch on a weekly email so that the golfing dream of a round being available every weekend for anyone who is available becomes a reality.
I firmly believe that there is nothing better than walking a course on a Saturday morning with some Christian 'brothers'. Sharing in the ecstasy and pain of golf, life, faith and….. well, more golf. There will also be a best dressed competition at each event, and those of you who have/will play with me, will be well aware that I strongly believe in the 'play well, but look better' school of golf.
